Heather Hague


Heather studied an undergraduate music degree at York St John University graduating in 2017. She discovered a love of music psychology through seeing the benefits of music on mental health and began to study in this area during her undergraduate degree presenting at the York University Music Education and Psychology Conference in 2016 on the effects of music listening on mental wellbeing. This became her research focus and led to a research study into the effect of music listening on stress, anxiety and depression in her final undergraduate project. As a researcher Heather’s interest lies in the impacts of music on emotional states and on mental health and wellbeing.
