AHRC White Rose (WRoCAH) funding for Doctoral Research at the Department of Music, University of York

The University of York invites applications for PhD research in areas across Music, Science and Technology at the Department of Music. A number of fully-funded studentships are available for outstanding candidates.

The mstrc provides with outstanding facilities, a seminar series, a supportive community of interdisciplinary researchers, and a thriving environment that benefits from the broader musical activities of the department.

We welcome PhD applications that fit one (or more) of our research groups:

York Music Psychology Group
Music Production, Processing and Analysis Group
Technologies for Musical Creativity Group

Students may propose topics under any of these areas. For 2017 there are up to seven scholarships available. The scholarship covers the UK/EU tuition fees and, for eligible students, a maintenance grant (£14,296 in 2016/17).
